Chesapeake pastor grateful for support following car accident
A pastor in Chesapeake, Virginia, is amazed by the outpouring of support from strangers who came together to assist at a car crash near Richmond. Despite the negativity often seen on social media, Associate Pastor Duke White Jr. of Refresh Community Church was driving on Interstate 295 when he witnessed a car crash into the woods. He and other bystanders rushed to help the trapped driver, demonstrating a selfless act of kindness that transcended barriers like religion, politics, and race. Inspired by the unity and love displayed during the rescue effort, Pastor White believes it reflects the way God intervenes in our lives. Although the driver did not survive, the community's collective efforts allowed his family to bid a proper farewell. Pastor White, who himself suffered a seizure after the incident, recognizes the significance of the moment and plans to share his reflections in this Sunday's sermon at Refresh Community Church. The sermon will take place at 11 a.m. at 1313 Burns St. in Chesapeake, or you can tune in online.
