Charges filed against driver in fatal pedestrian collision: SPD
Suffolk police have charged a driver involved in a fatal car collision that took the life of a pedestrian on Thursday morning. The driver, identified as 36-year-old Michael Madison, faces charges including second-degree murder, felony hit-and-run, and felony assault and battery on a law enforcement officer. The incident occurred around 10:40 a.m. at the intersection of Kissimmee Avenue and Factory Street, where 66-year-old Steaven Hamlin was struck and later succumbed to his injuries after being taken to the hospital. Suffolk police have stated that the matter is still being investigated.
