Charge filed in fatal 2023 hit-and-run case, per affidavit

In a tragic incident that occurred in east Austin in 2023, a man has been charged with manslaughter for his involvement in a hit-and-run that resulted in the deaths of an Austin father and daughter. The suspect, identified as Luis Rodolfo Mata Limon, was driving a red Chevrolet involved in a crash with a black ATV operated by Jonathan Gomez-Guajardo and his daughter, Azeneth Gomez-Rodriguez. The crash was captured on video by a nearby Tesla, showing the collision and tragic aftermath. Luis fled the scene, leaving behind evidence that led to the charges against him. Despite attempts by authorities to locate him, Luis has not been found. The victims' family had previously filed a lawsuit in hopes of pressuring those responsible to come forward, but as of now, Luis remains at large.
