
CCPD: No charges for driver in pedestrian accident at H-E-B Plus!
A local resident was hospitalized on Tuesday evening after being hit by a car on the southeast side of the city. The incident occurred around 7:03 pm along the 5400 block of Saratoga, near H-E-B Plus, as confirmed by Corpus Christi authorities in a report to KRIS 6 News. The pedestrian, who sustained serious injuries initially, was struck by a black SUV heading west. The driver cooperated with authorities and medical assistance was provided promptly at the scene. While the pedestrian's condition was initially critical, it was later determined to be non-life threatening. It was noted that the pedestrian did not use a designated crosswalk at the time of the accident. No citations or charges will be filed against the driver. Traffic in the westbound lanes of Saratoga had to be temporarily halted for approximately an hour as the police conducted their investigation.
