Cat rescue in Bethel Park struck by car shortly after opening
A vehicle crashed into the Cali Cats Rescue facility in Bethel Park shortly after it celebrated its grand opening. Volunteer Emily Shearer heard a loud noise and initially believed it was a cat tree falling over, only to discover that a vehicle had driven through the front of the building. Fortunately, all the felines are safe and have been relocated to temporary housing. The rescue is seeking donations to aid in the repairs, as they rely heavily on financial contributions and volunteers for support. Despite the setback, the rescue president, Amanda Jeney, underscored the effort put into establishing the location and emphasized their dependence on community assistance. While the rescue is collaborating with their insurance provider to address the damages, a timeline for returning to their premises is currently uncertain.
