Car wreck flips and sets ablaze in South Rockford
The Rockford Police Department was called to the South side of Rockford for a vehicle accident on Friday night, where one vehicle had overturned and caught fire. The incident occurred at the intersection of Brooke Road and Bildahl Street. Police reported that an individual received minor injuries and was treated. The authorities advised people to steer clear of the area while they work to remove the vehicles and clear the roadway. Some nearby residents experienced a power outage as a result of the crash, but ComEd anticipates that power will be restored by 1:30 a.m. Police have blocked off all lanes in the vicinity.
