Car ignites following crash with large truck on Grass Valley road
A driver sustained serious injuries after a collision with a large truck on the Golden Center Freeway in Grass Valley. The incident occurred around 2:15 p.m. near Dorsey Drive and resulted in the car catching fire. The driver managed to escape the burning vehicle and was conscious. Pictures show the car wedged underneath the trailer of the truck, both heavily damaged. The truck driver was unharmed. The freeway was closed temporarily, but traffic was later allowed to pass as emergency crews cleaned up the site. Authorities are still looking into the cause of the crash.
