Car / Deer Accident Yesterday in Linn County
On Monday 5/25/2026 at approximately 1158 hrs., Linn County Sheriff Deputies, Linn County Rescue 57, Area Ambulance, and Fairfax Fire were dispatched to Highway 151 and Highland Avenue in Fairfax, IA for a single vehicle accident with injury. A green 2024 Volkswagen was traveling northbound on Highway 151 when the driver, Amy Roach (44) of Fairfax, struck a deer causing severe damage to the windshield area. The passenger was transported to Mercy Hospital by Area Ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger’s identity will not be released at this time as they are juvenile.
