Car crashes into well-known eatery in downtown Cincinnati captured on security camera

A dramatic security video caught the moment a car crashed into a popular restaurant in downtown Cincinnati. The incident, which occurred at Baru on West 6th and Race streets, resulted in three individuals being taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. This marks the second time a car has crashed into the front of Baru, with the previous incident happening in November when a car hit the patio area. The latest crash, around 4 a.m. on Sunday, was captured by security cameras, showing the chaos as chairs were overturned and glass shattered. Cincinnati Fire Chief Matt Flagler mentioned that two of the injured individuals had serious but not life-threatening injuries and had to be extricated from a red SUV. The crash was a result of two vehicles potentially drag racing or involved in some altercation. Fortunately, there were no other injuries reported from the incident aside from those in the car. Baru's owner confirmed no staff or guests were harmed, and the restaurant will be closed temporarily.
