Car crashes into street light, tree, in Rock Island
Rock Island police and fire crews, along with the Rock Island Arsenal Ambulance, responded to a single-car crash shortly before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at 17th Street and 13th Avenue near the entrance to Longview Park, Rock Island. The car left the roadway, went up on a hill, hit a street light and then a tree, causing major damage to the vehicle. The driver did not appear to have major injuries and was not transported to the scene, according to Our Quad Cities News crew.
