Car crashes into home, another into police cruiser
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) -- Police are investigating two separate crashes that happened early Sunday morning. Youngstown Police were called just before 2 Sunday morning for a car that hit a house. It happened on the corner of Himrod and Truesdale Avenues. Police are unsure exactly how it happened, but a car ended up on the home's porch, causing damage to the roof's support beams. We are working to learn what happened and if anyone was hurt. While our crew was there, another crash happened nearby where a car hit a police cruiser at the intersection of Loveless and Himrod Avenues. Officers say a man was being chased by police when he went through a stop sign and crashed into a parked patrol car. The man was taken away in handcuffs in an ambulance. There were no severe injuries. Drugs and alcohol were not involved. Andrew Peterson contributed to this report.
