Car crashes into gas station in northern Kentucky, leaving behind heavy damage
A driver was taken into custody, accused of driving under the influence, after crashing into a gas station in northern Kentucky.It happened around 1:18 p.m. when Erlanger police officers were called to the Circle K off Dixie Highway for a crash.When officers got to the scene, they learned the driver backed into another vehicle that was parked at the gas pumps and then drove forward through the glass storefront where people were inside.WLWT cameras showed the vehicle all the way into the gas station, shattering the glass wall and leaving behind some serious damage.The vehicle was later towed from the scene. Police say the driver was found to be impaired and was taken into custody for DUI, wanton endangerment and criminal mischief.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 859-356-3191.
