Car crashes into Aurora home, 2 individuals flee

Two individuals fled the scene following a car accident that resulted in the vehicle crashing into a house in Aurora. The police department in Aurora responded to the incident at the intersection of South Peoria Street and East Alaska Avenue. This occurred in the Aurora Hills neighborhood near the Aurora Hills Golf Course. Local residents mentioned that this house, along with others in the area, has been hit by cars before due to speeding drivers on the road, despite the 35 mph speed limit. According to initial reports, a white Jeep, potentially a Grand Cherokee, was heading north on Peoria Street when it lost control and collided with the residence. Although the two individuals ran away from the scene, the police were unable to locate them after conducting a search. There is no evidence to suggest that the vehicle was stolen. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the house was unoccupied during the accident. Debris is present on the road, leading to the closure of Southbound Peoria Street without a set time for reopening, while the northbound lane remains accessible.
