Car crash results in stabbing on Long Island: Authorities

In Franklin Square on Sunday, a man was hospitalized with numerous stab wounds following a car collision that escalated into a physical altercation. According to authorities, the incident involved a 20-year-old victim and a 34-year-old individual named Rashawn Marquez, a resident of Franklin Square. Allegedly, Marquez pursued the victim post-crash and attacked him with a sharp object, causing several lacerations. The victim received medical attention at a nearby hospital. Subsequently, Marquez was apprehended by law enforcement and faces charges related to attempted murder, assault, and weapon violations. His court appearance is scheduled for Monday.
