On Sunday night in Newark, a possible DUI car crash resulted in five people being injured when one of the vehicles involved crashed into a nearby home. The Newark Police Department and Alameda County Fire Department responded to the incident at the intersection of Cedar Boulevard and Lafayette Avenue. The collision involved a sedan and an SUV, which led to the sedan colliding with a home on Lafayette Avenue. Four individuals from the vehicles received assistance at the scene, with the sedan driver sustaining serious injuries and the SUV driver with their two passengers sustaining minor injuries. All four were taken to a hospital for treatment, along with a person inside the home at the time of the crash.
