
Car crash injures 3 in Newark, ends with vehicle hitting house.
A crash involving two vehicles occurred in Newark on Sunday night, resulting in several individuals sustaining serious injuries. There were reports of a sedan and an SUV colliding at the intersection of Cedar Boulevard and Lafayette Avenue around 10:35 p.m. Responding to the incident, Newark police found that following the collision, the sedan had collided with a residence in the 5000 block of Lafayette Avenue. The sedan driver suffered serious injuries, while the SUV driver had minor injuries, and two passengers in the SUV were seriously injured. All individuals involved were transported to a hospital for treatment. Additionally, a person inside the home that was hit was also taken to a hospital for evaluation. Authorities suspect that alcohol played a role in the crash but have not indicated which driver may have been under the influence. The incident is currently under investigation by the police.
