Car collision engulfs Wichita footbridge in flames

The driver of a car in Wichita will be charged after crashing into a pedestrian bridge on Sunday night. The incident occurred before midnight near Harry Street and Woodlawn Boulevard. A witness reported that the car went airborne, struck the bridge, and caught fire. Multiple crews from the Wichita Fire Department responded to the complex crash, extinguishing the fire and safely removing the car from the bridge.
