Car collides with utility pole in Skaneateles
In Skaneateles, a silver Subaru collided with a utility pole, causing live wires to fall and spark. The Mottville Volunteer Fire Company responded to the incident on New Seneca Turnpike and Gully Road on Thursday, June 26, 2025. Upon arrival, firefighters found the vehicle had knocked down the pole onto its roof with four occupants still inside. National Grid was called in to secure the power before firefighters safely extricated all the occupants. Three of them were able to exit the car independently, while the fourth was carefully removed by emergency responders and transferred to medical personnel on site.
