Car chase in Avon ends with crash into pole by HCSO

A car chase involving multiple law enforcement agencies came to a dramatic end in Avon when the pursued vehicle crashed into a utility pole after hitting another car. According to officials from the Hendricks County Sheriff's Office, the chase began at a gas station and concluded near Raceway Road and U.S. Highway 36. The black car sustained significant damage on its passenger side, windshield, and airbags were deployed during the collision. Fortunately, all individuals involved in the incident suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency responders from the Washington Township/Avon Fire Department transported several individuals to the hospital, but their injuries were not deemed serious. The circumstances surrounding the pursuit and crash are currently being investigated. This is the second pursuit the Avon police have been engaged in this year, the previous one in February resulting in a fatal crash involving S’Doni Pettis. Authorities have not disclosed further details on potential arrests or the genders of the individuals involved. Spokespersons for the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office and Avon Police Department were unavailable for comments on camera regarding Wednesday's chase or their pursuit protocols.
