Two-Car Crash Closes Wallace Road; One Injured, Dog Flees Scene Santa Rosa, CA (May 22, 2025) -- A two-vehicle crash Thursday morning on Wallace Road near Twin Pillar Way caused significant traffic disruption and sent at least one person to the hospital, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision, involving a gray Subaru Outback and a dark gray Honda Accord, was reported just before 7:20 a.m. on May 22, 2026, the report said. Both vehicles sustained major damage, with the Subaru blocking two lanes and the Honda suffering front-end damage. Emergency crews responded quickly, and one driver was transported for medical treatment. The southbound lanes of Wallace Road were temporarily shut down as authorities cleared debris and towed the vehicles. Two towing companies, All Star and Bear Flag, were called to the scene. A small to medium-sized dog, described as a gray or brown Labrador mix, reportedly fled into the nearby hills after the crash. The dog’s owner may have been under the influence, and neighbors were seen searching the area. Animal Control was notified and is responding.
