Car accident in Greene results in two hospitalized - WIVT

GREENE, NY (WIVT/WBGH) - A collision involving three vehicles in Greene resulted in two individuals sustaining minor injuries. On the evening of October 8, around 9:07 p.m., the New York State Police from Norwich were called to the scene of a crash on State Route 12. The subsequent investigation revealed that a 2021 Mazda CX5 had veered out of its lane while heading south on State Route 12, crashing into a 2010 Ford Focus traveling northbound. Following this impact, the Mazda CX5 then hit a parked 2017 Honda Civic in front of 872 State Route 12, before colliding with the exterior of a residence. The driver and sole occupant of the Mazda CX5, 22-year-old Makayla Cummings from Utica, suffered back pain and other non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Wilson Hospital for treatment. She was also issued a citation. Similarly, the driver and only occupant of the Ford Focus, 44-year-old Angel Minnie Kiekel from Nineveh, experienced chest pain and non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Wilson Hospital for evaluation.
