Car accident causes stop sign to impale house
It was a bizarre scene on Erie's east side Wednesday night, with a house being impaled by a stop sign. Photos, which can be viewed in the player above, came from the Erie Firefighters IAFF Local 293 Facebook page. On Wednesday night, just before midnight, emergency crews were sent to East 23rd and Holland streets. According to the post, the vehicle went out of control, struck a fire hydrant, a stop sign and a house, causing significant damage. The stop sign was launched into the side of the house and went through the wall. No injuries were reported.
