BYU basketball player Kennard Davis Jr. arrested for DUI after crash
A player from the BYU men's basketball team was arrested on Thursday following a car crash in Provo and is being investigated for driving under the influence. Kennard Davis Jr., a regular starter, was taken into custody by the Provo Police Department after the incident. He was later released with a citation for DUI and minor injuries, and his vehicle was impounded. BYU is currently aware of the situation and is looking into the matter. Davis had started the first two games of the season for the Cougars, contributing 12 points and two assists in the previous game. Despite missing the most recent game due to Achilles' soreness, he is expected to be back in time for the upcoming match against UConn. Davis, who transferred from Southern Illinois, had previously started the 41 of the 64 games he played for the Salukis, averaging 16.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game last season. The BYU team has departed for a trip to TD Garden for their next game.
