The footage, obtained by KTLA, shows the helicopter suddenly dropping and crashing near a staircase, causing chaos as debris scatters across the area. Following the crash, two individuals are seen lying on the ground near the twisted fuselage. Two men were quick to react, attempting to assist the child pinned beneath the aircraft. Officials confirmed that two people aboard the helicopter and three on the ground were hospitalized, with no updates on their conditions available as of Sunday morning. The helicopter, identified as a Bell 222 and affiliated with the Cars ‘N Copters on the Coast event, crashed moments after its tail rotor detached. Investigations led by the FAA and NTSB are ongoing, while the pilot, identified as Eric Nixon, remains hospitalized with injuries including broken ribs and a crushed vertebrae.
