
Bystanders help critically injured boy in central Minnesota bike crash, according to police.
Good Samaritans rushed to aid a young boy who was seriously hurt in a bicycle accident in central Minnesota. The 12-year-old, identified as Raghav Shrestha, crashed while riding in Northside Park near Muskie Hill. Despite wearing a helmet, Shrestha sustained a severe head injury leading to cardiac arrest. Gary Wassen, who happened to be a CPR instructor, quickly administered CPR until paramedics arrived. Thankfully, first responders were able to revive Shrestha before sending him to a nearby hospital and then airlifting him to another facility in Minneapolis. Sartell Police Chief Brandon Silgjord commended Wassen's immediate action, expressing gratitude for his expertise. Additionally, other citizens with medical backgrounds also aided in the emergency response. Silgjord and emergency personnel are hopeful for Shrestha's recovery and are working with his school to provide necessary support during this difficult time.
