Brother Recounts Efforts to Save Sister in Fort Lauderdale Boat Accident

A 13-year-old girl tragically passed away in a watercraft accident in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Her older sister was critically injured and hospitalized. The family from New York had planned a trip to South Florida as a gift for the young girl's graduation. They had rented personal watercraft to explore the Intracoastal Waterway, with the girls riding one together while their parents followed closely behind. The accident occurred when the watercraft collided with a dock, and the girls were unconscious. Despite not knowing how to swim, their father bravely jumped in to rescue them, sustaining injuries in the process. Unfortunately, the younger sister did not survive, and the older sister underwent surgery and remained sedated. The family, well-known for their kindness and community service, expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support during this difficult time. The cause of the crash is still being investigated, but it seems the girls may have lost control before the collision.
