Bridge crash closes Hwy 65 in Spring Lake Park.
Highway 65 in Spring Lake Park is currently shut down in both directions after a semi truck carrying a pedestrian bridge hit a highway bridge on Tuesday. The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has closed Highway 65 between 85th Avenue NE and Highway 10 due to the accident. Officials estimate that the closure will remain in effect until 4 p.m., as indicated on the state's 511 website. The incident occurred around 11:25 a.m., with the Minnesota State Patrol responding to the scene of two separate accidents in the Highway 65 and County Road 10 area. According to troopers, the semi collided with the County Road 10 bridge while attempting to pass under it, causing the trailer to detach and be struck by another vehicle. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported in the crash.
