In an emotional statement shared on the group's official Instagram page, the band expressed profound sorrow and disbelief over the loss of Hinds, whom they described as a significant creative force with whom they had experienced many successes and musical milestones. The Atlanta Police Department confirmed that the fatal accident occurred when Hinds, riding a Harley Davidson, was struck by an SUV at an intersection in Atlanta. The band, which included bassist Troy Sanders, guitarist Bill Kelliher, and drummer Brann Dailor, has garnered critical acclaim for albums like "The Hunter," "One More 'Round the Sun," and "Emperor of Sand."
