The crash, which occurred on East Monument Street, quickly escalated into a crime scene as investigators focused on determining the origin of the gunshots and identifying the person responsible. Residents in the Oldtown neighborhood expressed shock and concern upon encountering the aftermath of the collision early in the morning. The Baltimore City Police found a man and a 28-year-old woman shot inside the crashed silver vehicle, later identified as Yasmine Lee.
