Boy in Hillsborough County loses leg, father still in critical condition following Riverview accident
A father and son from Hillsborough County were hospitalized after a collision near Riverview over the weekend. Caden Pinnock, 7, and his father CJ are associated with the East Bay Buccaneers' Mighty Mites youth football team. Caden, a player on the team, unfortunately suffered partial amputation of his left leg, while CJ remains in critical condition. Coaches Brian Owens and Will Storms shared that they received distressing news about the accident while preparing for practice. The father and son were airlifted to Tampa General Hospital for treatment. Visiting Caden at the hospital, they were moved by his courage as he continues to undergo surgeries. Describing Caden as an exceptional player with great resilience, they seek support from the community, including a potential visit from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to uplift his spirits. Prayers and hopes for the full recovery of both Caden and CJ are ongoing among their team members and loved ones.
