Boating accident injures one at Holland South Pier
A 23-year-old man from Holland was injured during a boating incident at the Holland South Pier in Park Township, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office. Deputies from the OCSO responded to reports of a boat crash from Michigan DNR employees at Holland State Park. Upon arrival, they found a 17-foot boat had collided with the South pier, causing the operator to be thrown from the boat. A 22-year-old woman on board sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The man with the head injury was airlifted to Corewell Health Butterworth for treatment. The incident is currently being investigated.
