Billings chase ends in fiery crash

A car chase on the morning of Saturday, August 30, 2025, resulted in a dramatic accident on a busy road in Billings. The incident commenced around 12:30 a.m. when law enforcement tried to pull over a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle chose to drive in the wrong direction along South Billings Boulevard, ultimately crashing near Underpass Avenue. Following the collision, the car caught fire, and the driver, who was the sole occupant, was thrown from the vehicle. The person was arrested due to two outstanding warrants after being treated for injuries and was later transferred to the Yellowstone County Detention Facility. The perpetrator's identity has not yet been disclosed. South Billings Boulevard was closed temporarily while officers from the Montana Highway Patrol and Billings Police Department managed the aftermath of the incident.
