Big rig crash on I-580 prompts emergency bridge repair in Tracy, CHP says

A solo big rig crash on Interstate 580 Tuesday morning in Tracy shut down one southbound lane for emergency bridge repair, the California Highway Patrol said.CHP was dispatched around 8:47 a.m. to westbound I-580, east of International Parkway, for the crash.It was unclear what caused the crash. A big rig overturned and caught fire. A possible major injury was reported. The lane is estimated to reopen at 6 p.m., CHP said.
