Bicyclist killed in collision with Santa Clarita Transit bus in Castaic

A 67-year-old man riding a bicycle was killed Wednesday morning in a crash involving a Santa Clarita Transit bus on a quiet residential street in Castaic. California Highway Patrol officers responded to the area of Pinto Place and Green Hill Drive around 7:30 a.m. and found the bicyclist, whose identity has not yet been released, dead at the scene, according to a CHP news release. The driver of the bus was not injured. One passenger was on board at the time, but they left the area before officers arrived, officials said.
