Bicyclist dies after Long Point Road crash with semi truck
MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) - A bicyclist was killed Thursday afternoon following a crash with a semi truck. Officers with the Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to a crash at the intersection of Long Point Road and the I-526 eastbound off-ramp shortly after noon. The bicyclist was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina, where they died, according to police. The Mount Pleasant Police Department Traffic Bureau is investigating the crash. The bicyclist has not yet been publicly identified.
