Bedford man aged 24 dies in motorcycle crash
A tragic incident occurred in Monroe County on Saturday evening, resulting in the death of a Bedford man after a collision between a motorcycle and a Chevrolet Cruze at the junction of west State Road 45 and Airport Road. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office received the emergency call just after 6 p.m. and responded promptly. The investigation revealed that the motorcyclist, identified as 24-year-old Hunter Warthan from Bedford, sustained fatal injuries in the crash with the Chevrolet Cruze driven by a 19-year-old from Spencer. The authorities called in a crash reconstruction team to examine the scene, leading to a temporary closure of the roadway for several hours. The cause of the accident is currently being looked into.
