Bakersfield tow truck driver dies in accident while trying to load school bus: police
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A tow truck driver is dead after an accident while doing his job in south Bakersfield. Bakersfield police said the incident happened at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at Hosking Avenue and Monitor Street. Witnesses said the tow truck driver was trying to hook a school bus to the tow truck when the bus rolled over him. The tow truck driver died at the scene. Officials said no children were there when it happened and no one else was injured. The Kern County Coroner's Office will identify the tow truck driver at a later time.
