Bakersfield man, 23, identified in fatal Highway 178 crash
The Kern County Coroner's Office has identified Alejandro Marix Manriquez-Chavez, 23, as the victim of a fatal multi-vehicle collision on Highway 178 near the Beale Avenue exit. The incident, which took place around 1:00 a.m., resulted in Manriquez-Chavez's death after his vehicle was struck by another on the highway. The California Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into the crash.
