Bail reduced by $1 million for mother in deadly Napa DUI accident

A 31-year-old mother named Yesica Barajas was arrested and charged with multiple felonies after causing a crash in Napa County last month that resulted in the tragic deaths of her two children, Aaliyah Montanez and Damien Montanez, aged 9 and 10 respectively. Barajas, who was allegedly driving under the influence during the crash, was initially held on a $1,500,000 bail, which has now been reduced to $500,000. She was hospitalized after the accident but was booked into jail on March 23 and appeared in court the following day. The incident occurred on March 16 on Highway 29, according to the California Highway Patrol. Barajas' next court appearance in Napa County is scheduled for Friday, April 4, where she is expected to enter a plea.
