Baby, mother seriously injured in crash after suspect flees scene in Bolingbrook

BOLINGBROOK, Ill. — A baby and a mother were seriously injured in a crash Monday morning in Bolingbrook. Officers responded to a domestic disturbance before 8 a.m. in the 400 block of Seneca Lane. The suspect, who was later charged, fled the scene before officers arrived. Minutes later, authorities received a report of a traffic crash at Boughton and Delaware. The suspect in the domestic case ran a stoplight and collided with three other vehicles, according to police. One of the vehicles was occupied by a 3-month-old baby and a mother. The baby was transported in critical condition and the mother was transported in serious condition. The suspect was taken into custody. Charges are pending.
