Authorities investigating deadly crash near Ankeny and Bondurant
One person died Monday morning after a single-vehicle crash in Polk County.Polk County deputies say they responded around 6 a.m. to a crash in the 5300 block of NE 78th Avenue, between Ankeny and Bondurant. Deputies were joined by Bondurant Fire and EMS to provide medical assistance to an adult male, who was the only occupant of the vehicle.Investigators say the crash was fatal. Deputies are still investigating the crash.As of about 9 a.m. Monday, NE 78th Avenue was reopened at NE 46th and NE 56th.
