
Aurora police intentionally collide with patrol vehicle to apprehend suspect who allegedly stole it
A suspect stole a police vehicle during a burglary call in Aurora on Tuesday morning. The police pursued the suspect through multiple jurisdictions, reaching speeds of up to 80 mph. The chase ended when an Aurora police sergeant intentionally crashed into the stolen vehicle to stop the suspect near Alameda and Airport Boulevard. The suspect, identified as Brayan Reyes-Bernal, was arrested and faced charges of aggravated motor vehicle theft, vehicular eluding, burglary, and hit-and-run, with more charges pending. Reyes-Bernal has a history of prior arrests, including domestic violence and DUI charges.
