ATV accident causes severe injuries in Pueblo County
In a rural area of Pueblo County, a 35-year-old man was seriously injured in an ATV accident and had to be airlifted to the hospital. The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office worked alongside various agencies such as the Pueblo West Fire Department, AMR, UCHealth flight teams, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and the Pueblo Fire Department to coordinate the rescue on Tuesday afternoon, June 10. The incident took place at the southern end of the Pueblo Motorsports Park grounds, located between the cities of Pueblo and Pueblo West. Due to the remote location of the accident, it took rescuers some time to reach the man before successfully transporting him to a nearby helicopter. The injured man is currently in stable condition with serious injuries but not life-threatening ones.
