Arrested Crown Point resident after car accident
In Crown Point, a local man was charged with a felony DWI after a crash on Route 9 in early October. According to New York State Police, the incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. when Logan M. Burgey, 30, allegedly lost control of his 2013 Lincoln Continental and hit a mailbox and utility pole. Emergency responders evaluated Burgey at the scene, and he was cleared to seek further medical treatment at a hospital. Subsequent police investigation indicated signs of impairment in Burgey, leading to the administration of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests he did not pass. Following his arrest, Burgey was brought to the Schroon Lake State Police barracks for processing, where he tested positive for a blood alcohol level of .16%. He was charged with reckless driving and DWI and released with an appearance ticket, scheduled to appear in Crown Point Court later in October.
