Arrest of St. Louis Resident Following Deadly Collision in Texas County
A man from St. Louis is in custody after a tragic accident occurred near Houston, resulting in the death of one person and serious injuries to another from Bucyrus. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the crash took place when a box truck collided with a SUV that was stopped at a construction zone. The driver of the SUV, an 80-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 79-year-old female passenger was airlifted to Cox South Hospital with severe injuries. The box truck driver, a 41-year-old male from St. Louis, sustained minor injuries and was arrested by MSHP troopers. He is facing charges including DWI manslaughter, DWI assault, and assault of a special victim. This accident marks the 16th fatality of 2025 for MSHP Troop G.
