Arrest of man in deadly hit-and-run on Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando as per FHP

A man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run incident that resulted in a fatal crash in Orlando, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol. 42-year-old Jermaine Williams, a resident of Eustis, was taken into custody and booked at the Orange County jail on charges related to leaving the scene of a crash involving a death. The tragic incident occurred on Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando, where a dark colored pick-up truck struck a 43-year-old man on a bicycle in a marked crosswalk. The victim, Daiken Alcime, was first hit and then run over by the Dodge Ram pick-up. The driver of the truck was identified by a witness who provided crucial information to law enforcement, leading to the suspect's surrender at the Sheriff’s office.
