Arrest of intoxicated driver with revoked license following hit-and-run near Athens
Law enforcement officers detained a 40-year-old individual who, while under the influence of alcohol, caused a collision on a highway near Athens, in the Megara vicinity, and then attempted to flee the scene. It was discovered that the man did not possess a valid driver's license as it had been taken away due to two previous instances of drunk driving within the last year. Subsequent alcohol testing indicated a level of 1.70 mg/l. The individual is now confronting charges including reckless driving, driving while intoxicated, hit-and-run, and driving without a license. Additionally, a fine of €2,200 was levied against him and he was presented before the appropriate legal authorities.
