
Arrest made in fatal motorcycle crash in south Wichita
In Wichita, Kansas, a 61-year-old man from the city has been taken into custody after a collision resulted in the tragic death of a motorcyclist on Friday evening in the southern part of the city. The accident occurred around 7:12 p.m. at the junction of 42nd Street and South Seneca, just a few blocks south of MacArthur Road. As per reports from law enforcement officials, the motorcyclist, a 27-year-old individual, was fatally injured when a sedan, attempting a left turn, collided with the motorcycle. The sedan, driven by the 61-year-old man, was reportedly heading north on Seneca and turned left onto 42nd Street, just as the motorcyclist was traveling south on Seneca, leading to the tragic crash. Authorities have indicated that the driver of the sedan was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter under the influence of alcohol or drugs, with alcohol suspected to have played a role in the incident. The case is expected to be presented to the District Attorney's office for formal charges.
