Arrest made in deadly hit-and-run involving pedestrian in San Francisco
A man in San Francisco, identified as Hai Van Le, was arrested after allegedly driving under the influence and fatally hitting a pedestrian before fleeing the scene. The San Francisco Police Department revealed this development on Monday, announcing that Le had been taken into custody on charges including gross vehicular manslaughter, driving under the influence causing injury, hit and run, and elder abuse. The incident occurred on Ocean Avenue, where officers found the injured pedestrian and unfortunately the victim did not survive. The police were able to locate the suspect and the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run later that night. The victim's identity has not been disclosed, and anyone with information is urged to contact the San Francisco Police Department.
