Arrest made after high-speed chase on North Shore culminates in crash

A man from Danvers was reportedly involved in a high-speed pursuit with Peabody police last Friday, narrowly missing crashing into a resident's garage. Timothy Crane, 31, was arrested and charged with various offenses including possession of stolen property, reckless driving, and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries. Police received information through a Flock Camera alert, which uses license plate recognition technology, about a stolen vehicle in the area. When officers attempted to stop the car, the driver, identified as Crane, sped away and eventually collided with two other vehicles, injuring the drivers. Fortunately, both are expected to recover. Crane's vehicle veered off the road and ended up in a residential yard, causing damage to other property. Authorities from various neighboring police departments also assisted in the incident.
